Windsurfing: Bradfield
Wind Direction: N
Wind Stength:
Surf / Sea State: quite small chop
Air Temperature: 15
Sea Temperature: 17
Weather: miserable
Max Speed: 26.8 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 15.6 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Got down around 5pm to be greeted by heavy rain which eased off a bit as I rigged. It still looked miserable though. John was out going well as Ian sheltered in his car. Got on the water with 7m. Wind was up and down as it blew straight onshore across the river so I could reach over a mile up and down the river. It was the first time I had sailed there and got 26.8knots. With a smaller board I would have got faster as the board lifted too much with the fin and I could feel the board drag. John was a couple of knots faster than me so might have been getting near 30 knots. Not sure about Ian as we did not share a reach. It brought home to me how much difference sea state makes to speed.
Well worth another visit for N to NW, though John said it was even gustier in a NW. I sailes for about 1 hour 10mins
